Grown at 1700 meters above sea level, these fully washed, sun-dried beans are a product of the Mexico Chiapas Bella Vista Mayan Harvest, sourced from a collective of 38 family-owned farms in the Bella Vista municipality of Chiapas, Mexico. Rosalba Cifuentes Tovia, who was raised in this coffee community, has dedicated herself to helping small local producers earn fair prices & ensuring traceability by personally exporting the coffee directly to the Bay Area. We aged the green coffee beans in rye barrels, yielding an inordinately delicious cup replete with notes of orange, limoncello, & caramel underscored by subtle bourbony oak that really brings the whole thing home. It’s perfectly normal to feel the need to personally high-five Rosalba after your first sip.
