BOURBON BARREL AGED COLOMBIA BUESACO
This coffee comes to us courtesy of the Cooperativa Cafes Especiales de Nariño, a co-op in Colombia’s Nariño department. With a well-earned reputation for ethical grower compensation, as well as for providing meaningful job opportunities and development to the smallholders and communities surrounding its offices in Buesaco, this coop also enjoys a reputation for putting out some exceptionally tasty coffees. This particular batch was grown at 1800 meters above sea level and wash-processed before our house coffee ninjas introduced it to some fragrant, oaky bourbon barrels. What emerged was a coffee with a seriously magical profile, with notes of pomegranate, sugarcane, and an oaky character that echoes a classic Old Fashioned cocktail. If you’re looking for a next-level adventure in caffeination, you’ve found it, friend.
