BOURBON BARREL-AGED EL SALVADOR EL CARMEN COFFEE BEANS (8oz BAG) - FEBRUARY 2021
TASTING NOTES: PEACHES - RED LICORICE - BROWN SUGAR
Hailing from El Salvador’s lush and extremely coffee-friendly Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain region, these beans were grown on the El Carmen Estate, which has been farmed for over a century by the Alfaro family. After the coffee was hand-picked and meticulously dried by these agricultural wizards, we aged the green beans in bourbon barrels, which—combined with their already-stellar profile—yields a cup with notes of peaches, red licorice, and brown sugar. It’s a truly marvelous caffeinated experience.
MEGA-BONUS: $1 from every bag will go to Food 4 Farmers, a rad organization that works with coffee-farming communities in Latin America to cultivate a food-secure future.
