Burundi is pretty much Shangri-La for coffee beans. Its high-altitude, hilly terrain is rich with volcanic soil and enjoys very regular rainfall, natural advantages which produce some of the world’s most exceptional coffees–this one, for example. Grown at 1805 meters, these washed-process beans come to us from Burundi’s Gahahe mill, established in 1989 and supplied by over 600 local farmers. The finished product is a delightful cup with alluring notes of red wine, caramel, and dark fruit that we really think you’re going to dig. In fact, we can’t imagine you not enjoying the hell out of this wonderful coffee.
